Drone soccer is a competitive team sport where players pilot cage-protected drones to score goals through a suspended ring. Think soccer meets Quidditch meets Rocket League. One striker per team scores while teammates support and defend. It's fast-paced, easy to pick up, and honestly pretty hard to stop watching once it gets going.

Drone soccer has a real and growing international competitive scene, with organized leagues and tournaments across Asia, Europe, and increasingly the United States. It's recognized by the World Air Sports Federation (FAI) and has been gaining serious traction at the youth and collegiate level. Here in North Carolina, Apex Drone Soccer is the first and only operation of its kind, so if you're in the region, we're your access point to the sport.

Not at all. The learning curve is short by design. Most players are competing within their first few minutes. If you can hold a controller, you can play.

Yes. All gameplay takes place inside a fully enclosed netted arena that keeps the drones completely contained during play. The drones themselves are also housed in protective spherical cages built to handle collisions. Players rotate in and out from a designated area, and spectators watch from outside the enclosure.

Matches are composed of 3 rounds which last 3 minutes each, so players rotate in quickly and wait times stay low. We run a continuous rotation format (typically team sizes range from 3v3 to 5v5) that keeps the energy high and makes sure as many people as possible get to play throughout the event.

Both options work. We can come directly to your location, or if your space doesn't fit the setup, we can arrange a nearby rental venue. Either way, we take care of the logistics.

If you want us to come to your area instead of renting a venue, here is all the spacing information you need. The arena itself has exterior dimensions of approximately 22 by 11 by 11 feet. Beyond that, you'll need some additional room around it for players to rotate in and out, plus space for our battery charging and swap station. We'll assess your space during the booking process to make sure everything fits.

Everything. We staff and run the entire experience from start to finish. You don't need to manage anything on your end. We bring and handle all equipment including the arena, drones, controllers, and backup gear.

Our drone soccer camp is a structured youth program for kids and teens ages 11 to 17. Parents can enroll their child for a dedicated camp experience built around learning and competing in drone soccer. It's a focused, high-energy program and not just open play. Camp availability is seasonal and limited, so make sure to reserve a spot earlier.

Absolutely. Our sweet spot is ages 11 to 17, though adults get just as competitive. It's structured enough to feel like a real sport but approachable enough that almost anyone can jump in from the first round.

Yes. We can run multiple sessions throughout your event day, staff a full day at a convention or trade show, and scale to match your event size, provided that we are available. Reach out with your details and we'll put together the right format.
